Review: Dr Jart+ Platinum BB Cream

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I'd bought some Dr Jart+ goodies from the Boots 3 for 2 deal. I'm still testing out the moisturiser and mask but I thought it was a good time to tell you about the BB Cream as I've had a good chance to try it out now.

Here's a photo of me with no makeup on at all:

Before applying Dr Jart Platinum BB Cream

Before applying the BB Cream, I like to apply my usual serum, moisturiser and some primer as my skin can get a little dry so these provide a good base for the product to look it's best.

I then apply the BB Cream using my Sigma F80 brush as I can get an even coverage with this. I tried with my fingers but it looked a bit smeared. It's quite a thick cream so I definitely think you will get a better application with a brush.

It's worth mentioning that Dr Jart+ have 4 different BB Creams that vary slightly in shades but each type only comes in one shade. I have the Platinum version which seemed to be the lightest one. Normally BB Creams look too dark for my skin even the light/pale versions but this one seemed to be a good match from what I could see in the store.

Once I applied the BB Cream to my skin, I was impressed that the shade matched my skin tone and the coverage is really good. It's pretty full coverage as it covers up spots and redness really well but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It is quite moisturising and doesn't dry out the skin. It's also got great sun protection at SPF30. Even though it's moisturising and has added sun protection, it doesn't look or feel greasy at all.

I haven't really sampled many BB Creams due to not finding one to match my skintone or not being so impressed that I wanted to rush out and buy a full sized one. This Dr Jart+ one is a great investment and I'm glad I decided to buy it. I think this would actually be great to wear instead of foundation as it looks more natural.

If you fancy trying some Dr Jart+ BB Cream, the four available types are Water Fuse, Regenerating, Platinum and Premium. These are available at Boots and range from £18.00 to £24.00. They have testers available too if you would like to try swatching it.

    1. Yeah I wasn't expecting the coverage to be so great. It's definitely worth the money as it's like a really good foundation without the heavy feeling xx
