Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry

Today I wanted to share another of the Barry M Hi-Shine Nail Paints with you. See here if you want to read about the Pomegranate shade.

Greenberry is a gorgeous almost turquoise but more green shade. Probably not the best description there! My photos show up a bit lighter than the actual shade so you might need to see it in real life to see it's true beauty :)

I love this colour and it's perfect for Spring. I applied two coats of this for an opaque finish and it didn't take too long to dry.

Again this one has that lovely shiny finish and I've been admiring my nails a lot the last few days with this on!

I never apply top coats to nail polish so I often find that my nail polish chips really quickly but this one is lasting really well on my nails. There are a few tiny chips but nothing like I would get normally.

If you fancy getting some of these polishes they are currently on 3 for 2 at Boots.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Pomegranate

I've been admiring the new Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints for a while so I eventually picked some up last week. I bought four shades and the first one I tried is Pomegranate, a beautiful dark red with a hint of pink.

I really like the high shine formula of these polishes which my camera hasn't picked up as well as I would have liked! The liquid is quite thick so I only needed one coat of polish for full opacity. I hate having to apply multiple coats so this is perfect for me!

These polishes are such great value at only £3.99 each or cheaper if they are on offer. Judging these based on this shade they seem such good quality like other brands such as Essie so I'm really impressed.

I'm looking forward to trying one of the other shades. Which one should I try next?

Have you bought any of these polishes? Which is your favourite?

Bellapierre Compact Mineral 5-in-1 Foundation on QVC UK

I've mentioned QVC a few times on my blog as you can often get really good deals on beauty products and I just love watching the channel!
Image from QVC UK

Today I wanted to tell you about a great product that is available on QVC. It's called the Bellapierre Compact Mineral 5-in-1 Foundation and a new shade called Latte is being launched live on QVC from 1am on 19th March. This new shade comes to QVC after they received a lot of requests at their Beauty Bash. I think it's great that QVC work closely with the brands to give the customers what they want.

This foundation is like your concealer, foundation, setting powder and SPF 15 protection all in one handy compact which is great for on the go touch ups.

As the product has been on QVC before, they have a great video you can watch to get an idea of what the product is like. It also helps with choosing the perfect shade for yourself. There are 7 shades to choose from so you're bound to find one to suit your skin tone. There is even a super pale one for porcelain skinned ladies (or men) like myself!
Image from QVC UK

The foundation costs £23.50 (plus P&P) which is the usual amount you would pay for something like MAC, Dainty Doll, Clinique, etc and you get 10g of product. The amazing thing about this offer is that you get a kabuki brush included in this price so there's no need to spend extra money finding the right tool to apply this product.

If you're thinking about buying this product but want to read some reviews first, there are plenty on the QVC website from a range of ages and skin types so it's worth a look.

Have you tried this product or any other Bellapierre cosmetics? Let me know your thoughts :)

Fragrance Direct Haul: Dainty Doll Cosmetics

Last weekend I was a bit bored and thought I'd have a look on the Fragrance Direct website. I hadn't bought anything from there before but I'd often read about bloggers getting really cheap Essie nail polish so I thought it was worth a look.

As soon as I got on to the website I saw a big advert saying they had up to 80% off Dainty Doll cosmetics. Although I didn't have a great experience with their foundation or concealer I had still been interested in trying some of their other products, I just didn't fancy paying their prices!

Dainty Doll Cream Blusher: 001 Paper Roses, 002 Orange County Girl, 003 Billion Dollar Babies

To my delight, lots of the products I was interested in were only £1.99 instead of being around the £13.50 mark. I went super crazy and ended up with 11 items in my basket and the delivery was only £1.99 for second class delivery so I only spent a total of £23.88. This is such an amazing bargain as if I'd bought these in Boots, I would have spent almost £150!

Dainty Doll Powder Blusher: 001 Hippy Shake, 002 My Girl, 003 Money Talks, 004 You Are My Sunshine

I placed my order on a Saturday and they were delivered the following Thursday which is fine as I only paid for second class delivery. I haven't tried any of the products but they all seem fine and I'm really happy with my purchases!

Dainty Doll Lipstick: 003 It's My Party, 006 Baby Love, 007 Stripped

I think my favourite items are the "It's My Party" lipstick, "My Girl" powder blusher and the "You Are My Sunshine" cream blusher. Once I've had a chance to use the products I'll probably feature them on my blog at some point. Let me know if there's anything in particular you would like to see!

Dainty Doll Concealer Pen in 002 It's A Kind Of Magic

Since I made my order, I did a little search on Twitter and noticed a lot of people have been snapping up these bargains so although there are some items left on the site, there isn't as much choice as last week. If you're interested in buying these, it might be worth checking back every so often as from what I gather the products do come back in stock.

Did you take advantage of these bargains? Let me know what you bought and if you've tried anything yet.

L'Oreal Caresse Coeur de Perle Lipstick

I had some money left on a Boots gift card so I popped in hoping to pick up some of the new shades of Revlon Lip Butter but they were nowhere to be seen. I decided to have a little browse round the other make up stands when I spotted some new lip products I hadn't seen before at the L'Oreal stand.

Right next to the regular L'oreal Rouge Caresse Lipsticks stood these brand new Caresse lipsticks in metallic pink packaging rather than chrome. There was no information about these lipsticks and I hadn't seem them on anyone's blog so I picked them up for closer inspection. The way these differ from the original Rouge Caresse is that they have a white centre which after doing some research on the internet, I've found out is Mother of Pearl particles. The official name of this product despite it not being on the tube is L'Oreal Caresse Coeur de Perle.

L'Oreal Caresse Coeur de Perle: Coral & Floral, Pink & Angelic, Nude & Cute

The Mother of Pearl particles provide a gorgeous iridescent look to the lips combined with a hint of colour from the rest of the bullet. There are four colours in this range; Nude & Cute, Coral & Floral, Pink & Angelic and Creamy & Lacy.

Me wearing Coral & Floral

I love these lipsticks and they are perfect for daytime wear as they have that balmy finish just like the Rouge Caresse. I'm sure I'll be rocking these all through Spring and into Summer.

Hand swatches of Coral & Floral, Pink & Angelic, Nude & Cute

I chose my three favourites from this collection but all four shades are available on the Boots website here.

Have you seen these in store? Will you be picking any up?

Ways to follow Suzy Hearts Beauty

By now you've probably heard all of the hoo-ha around Google getting rid of Google Reader and how it might mean the end of Google Friend Connect (GFC) as well.

To be honest, I'm not sure what's going on but I just wanted to let you all know about the other ways to follow my blog just in case you currently use GFC and it gets removed!

I always post links to new posts on Twitter and Facebook so it would be great to see you on there. I'm on Instagram as suzyheartsbeauty if you fancy taking a look at all of the bad food I eat plus some beauty photos!

I'm also on Bloglovin' which is the site I use to keep track of all the blogs I follow. It's easy to see which blog posts you have read and which ones you haven't. They have a handy tool for importing all of your Google Reader blogs into Bloglovin' here.

Another great site I use to follow blogs is Hello Cotton so you can find me on there too.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain

Last month whilst browsing the Rimmel make up stand in Boots for some of the new Apocalips lip products, I noticed a super light foundation in their Match Perfection range. Normally Rimmel's or any other drugstore/high street foundations are too dark for my skin but Rimmel Match Perfection in Light Porcelain seemed perfect for my skin tone. Since it was 3 for 2 I decided to buy it.

Me with no make up on

I've worn this foundation on a few nights out and I really like it. It's the perfect match for my skin tone and it doesn't highlight any dry patches. It provides a medium coverage, dewy finish.

Me wearing Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain

I'm normally a bit of a snob when it comes to foundations, believing that the more expensive, high end ones are better but I'm glad I found this Rimmel one. It just proves you don't need to spend a fortune to get a good product.

Hand swatch of Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain

I've noticed this is on offer for £4.99 rather than the usual £6.99 at both Boots and Superdrug at the moment so if you fancy it, now is the time to get it!

Massive thumbs up to Rimmel for catering for us pale skinned beauties.

Have you found any great budget buys lately?

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Mask

Montagne Jeunesse face masks feature on my blog quite a lot as I love sharing my thoughts on them with you. I love using them because they always give great results. They are really inexpensive and there is such a wide range.

Today I want to tell you about the Passion Peel Off mask*. This mask has a gel like consistency and is easy to smooth on to the skin. It's red in colour and has a gorgeous, fruity scent that makes it very enjoyable to use. Whilst wearing this mask, it feels very cooling when the air starts to dry it on your skin. The great thing about this mask is that it doesn't feel uncomfortable and you can still move your facial muscles with this on!

As this is a peel off mask, it needs to be completely dry before removing it so I'd recommend applying a thin, even layer of the mask to ensure it dries properly and fairly quickly. This way you should be able to remove it by peeling the full mask off in one go.

After removing the mask, it felt like all of the dead skin cells had been removed and my skin felt so soft and smooth. My skin also felt super clean and refreshed. There was no drying feeling either.

All of the Montagne Jeunesse products are suitable for vegetarians and they contains lots of lovely natural ingredients. You can see from the image above that this Passion Peel Off Face Mask contains Pomegranate, Passion Flower, Raspberry, Grape, Cranberry and Vitamin E. I love knowing that I'm not just putting a load of random chemicals on my skin!

If you fancy picking up one of these masks, they are available from Asda and other leading retailers. You can also purchase them from for the tiny price of £1.09.

Which is your favourite Montagne Jeunesse mask? Let me know your recommendations as I'm always looking to try other varieties :)

What I've been using up lately: Empties #2

I've built up another collection of empty bottles and pots so I thought it was time to let you know my thoughts on these products.

I go through quite a lot of conditioner compared to shampoo for some reason then once I've finished the matching conditioner I don't seem to use up the shampoo haha.

The Alberto Balsam Mandarin and Papaya Conditioner was a cheapy £1 purchase before Christmas. I didn't expect a lot from this conditioner, I just quite liked the scent so I bought it! I imagined this would be quite a thin, watery conditioner which I don't really like as they don't provide enough moisture for my hair and leave it very tangled. This was actually a nice thick-ish consistency which I found left my hair very soft and easy to brush through. I definitely recommend this and I think I will try some of the other varieties of this conditioner.

I enjoy using hair masks a few times a week to help keep my hair in good condition so I picked up this L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist 60 Second Saviour when it was on offer in Boots about a month ago. I really like shower products that open at the bottom of the packaging as they are easier to use. This product is for fragile hair and I'm not sure it strengthened my hair at all but it was certainly pleasant to use. It only needs 60 seconds on the hair to provide hydration so that's great and it didn't weigh my hair down either. I'm not sure if I'll repurchase this but that's only because I like trying lots of different products!

Over the years I've tried lots of the Aussie range and when I saw there was a new "Miracle Shine" collection I had to try some. I bought the shampoo and this 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment. As with all Aussie products this smells amazing so that's a definite plus point with this one. I didn't notice a massive difference in the levels of shine in my hair but unusually for a blondie, I have quite shiny hair normally anyway. I think next time I buy one of the 3 Minute Miracles I will go for a more hydrating version as they are a bit thicker and I prefer that.

VO5 Treat Me Right was another "Ooh it's on offer" in Boots type purchase so I hadn't really read anything about this product. It's quite a nice mask that contains 5 different oils to help nourish the hair. This pot lasted quite a while and I enjoyed the results as it made my hair really smooth but I don't really like using pots in the shower! It's hard to use it in a shower cubicle as there's no where to put the pot down whilst smoothing the handful of product through your hair before closing the pot so you end up with water getting in and diluting it! Once I move to a flat with a shower over the bath I may give this another go though.

The bottle of Philosophy Sugar Plum Fairy was one of my Boxing Day Sales purchases and it was a great bargain due to the normally quite high prices Philosophy charge. I always enjoy the quality of their shower gels as they are thick and create a really nice lather. They also come in some great fragrances. This one also smells great but I think I get sick of the Christmas fragrances when I'm using them in January/February as there's nothing to get excited about anymore! Haha. Glad this wasn't a full size one otherwise I would have wasted it.

The Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream came from the QVC TSV I got for Christmas and it's such a luxurious product. It smells like fresh linen and really nourishes the skin whilst cleaning it. My skin felt soft for hours after using this. You only need a small amount of this product to create lots of bubbles on your shower scrunchie too. As much as I love this product and thoroughly recommend it, I won't be repurchasing it. It costs £22.00 for this 300ml bottle and it only lasted me around 2 weeks. Even then I was trying to ration it out and not use it for every shower!

I got this tiny bottle of The Sanctuary Body Wash as part of a gift set for Christmas but it's a product I've used many times before. I love the scent of this product, it's quite a spicy, sexy, grown-up scent that is so enjoyable to use in the shower. This product also leaves your skin super soft due to all of the essential oils and little jojoba beads. The full size version only costs £5.50 so I will definitely repurchase this at some point as it's a well loved favourite of mine.

I don't get through a lot of body scrubs as I don't tend to keep them in the shower so I forget to use them but when I sniffed the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush one in Boots, I had to have it! It's a gorgeous, fruity, lime and brown sugar scented scrub. This is an amazing scrub to use as it's very exfoliating but it also leaves the skin smooth and hydrated due to the almond oil. After using this product there was always a lovely smell in my bathroom! The one negative thing I have to say about this is the fact that it comes in a pot. As I mentioned with the hair mask, I tend to get water inside these pots which spoils the product a little! I would definitely buy this again though.

The Galvin & Galvin Kids Dubble Trubble 2 in 1 Shampoo & Body Washes were nicely fragranced which is why I bought them in the first place. I love bananas and cherries so they seemed perfect! Also they are free from SLS and parabens so that was another great point. I didn't really enjoy using these products though because they were a nightmare to use! They look like they are in handy, easy to squeeze tubes but the opening in the lid must have been too small or something because no matter how hard I squeezed the tube, only a tiny amount of product would be dispensed! It was hard trying to squeeze with one hand on to my shower scrunchie as well. Considering these products are for kids, I'm not sure how they would have the strength to use them!

Finally on to the Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel, a limited edition Christmas product. I've repurchased this every Christmas for the last few years but I'm not sure I'll buy it anymore. I think I'm going off it unfortunately. I really like sickly, sweet scents which this is but for some reason it really makes me cough in the shower when I use it! Also, the grout in between the shower tiles gets really stained from the pink gel and I find it difficult to remove! I feel sad thinking I may not purchase this next year but I may change my mind by then.

Wow, this was a long post! Hope this has been useful if you've been thinking about trying any of these products. Let me know if you've used any of these products and what your thoughts are :)
