Autumn/Winter Fragrances

During the warmer months, I'm all about the sweet fruity scents but when things turn a little colder, I do prefer a slightly stronger scent. I thought I'd tell you about some of the fragrances I'm swapping over to for the next few months!

First up is the Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau de Parfum (starting at £43.99 for 30ml at John Lewis). This perfume holds a lot of memories for me actually because it was the perfume I bought in duty free when I was in the airport about to head on my Honeymoon in September 2015. It's hard to describe what this one smells like but it's a very sexy, strong (but not headache inducing!) fragrance. It's perfect for a night out and I feel good when I wear this one.

As a lover of sweet fragrances, the Shay & Blue Salt Caramel fragrance (starting at £30 for 30ml at John Lewis) is perfect for me. This one smells amazing with bourbon vanilla and tonka bean. It's luxuriously sweet, not teenage girl sweet. This one is very unique and I'm glad I discovered it because it's not as widely available as some other fragrances, so if you ever see it in John Lewis or M&S, please give it a smell! It's so good!

The YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum (starting at £50 for 30ml at John Lewis) is a gorgeous blend of fruit, vanilla and coffee. This kind of sounds like a weird combo but it's a lot deeper and stronger than it sounds. I mainly smell an intense floral fragrance with light notes of vanilla and coffee. It's definitely in the gourmand category, like most of my choices tend to be! I also love the gorgeous bottle on this one!

My final choice is a recent launch and it's the Elie Saab Girl of Now Eau de Parfum (starting at £37.50 for 30ml at John Lewis). I love the pretty turquoise and gold packaging on this one, it's very classy and the scent is incredible. It is heavily nut based with pistachio and almond milk but it also has citrus notes to it as well. It's just beautiful!

It's pretty hard to describe fragrances so I basically recommend that you go and smell all of these because I love them all!

Have you tried any of these fragrances? What are your favourite fragrances for autumn/winter?
